For anyone that has missed it, Caulfield Cup Barrier Draw. Weekend Hussler jumping from 11 could be problematic, but worse for Master O’Reilly from 13 and Maldivian from 18, very bad for a horse that likes to get forward, maybe this is the change it had to have to start hitting the line.
My two picks for rough hopes – Mad Rush, no favours from 17, but Ice Chariot to jump from 2 is great, will get back and hug the rails before swinging out and hit the line…odds are still nice and juciy…

The draw killed me on Guillotine who I have been backing for this for months.
Littorio and Red Ruler the ones for me now.
Love that someone else is on Ice Chariot. I am on him for the Caulfield but not sure how he will go over 3200. His two runs over that in the past were a shocker in the Melbourne cup (albeit as a 4 year old in a prep where he was going terribly) and a win in a poor field in QLD. In saying all of that, he looks to be going very well right now and he has hit his prime.

Hi haveabowl,
See the post “Sydney’s Biggest Punter Backs Guillotine” so you have a massive punter in your corner there, depends on how he rafes to, if he ets back a bit and settles could be good, I think a fast run race.
As for Ice Chariot, I agree a shocker in the 2006 Cup coming 22nd from 2 only beating home Zabeat and has had mixed form in 2007, but I have seen a good indication that he is travelling well in 2008 as a 6 year old and with GLYN SCHOFIELD on board has been improving with each run. I think that he is well over the odds and the connections have been setting him for 2 years at a good crack at the Cup.
Now having said that you’ll have to actually wait until the Sunday before the Melboure Cup to know my top four selections, Ice may not even be in them, in fact unless he wins the Caulfeild Cup or other lead in event he 100% won’t be…
Good Luck
